~Creative Update~

I'm making some kind of progress on the aforementioned video I want to be the debut video on this blog. I've discovered a way to work around the initial issue I was facing, however that working around has brought up others that are still being looked into, but in the process I've decided to include additional scenes and edit some parts of the video, so; a more polished piece will be on it's way!
Worth the time, worth the wait, I assure.

~Creative Confines~

Well, it's not confines on my creativity as it is confines on my ability to share a particular work from it. Allow me to explain. The video I have been working on, which I desired to be the first ever of mine uploaded on this blog, currently seems to be oo involved to be saved properly using Windows Movie Maker. I have enough space on my harddrive, but I believe there is too much memory being used during the actual saving process, or some, similar technical issue, and I'm quite sure it's due to all the scenes I loaded into it. I have been able to save another large movie file ~which was to be the second I desired to upload here~ so, yes, I'm pretty positive it's the amount of scenes I have in my "masterpiece" that is preventing it from being saved.

Now, when I say 'saved', I mean as an uploadable file. Anyone who uses WMM knows what I'm talking about. It is saved currently as a file I can open up in WMM to tweak and such and watch on there, but it's not the type that can be saved onto a site, to my knowledge. I need to save it as a movie file, and that's where the issue is occurring. Basically it informs me that I do not have the space, when I have acres of it (31GB free, and the largest this video could be is *maybe* an estimated 60MB, or there about). So, I've tried a few different things -attempting to save it in different/smaller formats, clearing out even more space on my harddrive, attempting to save it first thing before I have other things running- all in vein. I have some more ideas to try out, but right now that video's progress from this point on appears to be on hold.

Disappointing....I hope I can share it with you all, soon!!

[ and for those with the suggestion in mind that perhaps I should try and trim it down, scene-wise, *sigh* "the producer's plight"! I'll look into that, as well. But I doubt it would feel at all right if I omitted things...So, short of gutting my trusted laptop to expand it's memory, my video will either be less-than-desired or less-than-shared. I choose to work towards a fourth choice! : ) ]

~Think Pink~

So, I'm still working on things, creatively. Don't worry, I'll get there.
In the meantime, I've been engaging in another tried-&-true, timeless activity: reading.
What have I been reading? Oh, many things. But what I'd like to talk about for this 'Diary~Thought' is, Pink!  Now, I've not been reading specifically about pink (although I'm sure it would be a fascinating kind of read). More so, I tend to be reading parental anecdotes and the like and come across a little pink distraction. Namely, a few parents who seem to be saying they consciously avoid purchasing pink for their daughters, so as not to -I believe- gender-role them.

This always gives me cause for pause. Did it just you? I mean, if your daughter were to have a closet full of blues, reds, yellows, greens, oranges and purples, some pink mixed in there I hardly think will turn the entire closet pink! And what if your daughter has a natural inclination for the light side of the red hues? What's say she *doesn't* say that she wants to wear pink because all her girlfriends wear pink, or because it's the only good colour for a girl or that real girls wear pink, or because she *has* to (unless she's the dramatic type who *has* to do everything she desires in the moment--but I digress : p). What if instead she says she wants that pink simply because she *likes* it. : ) Maybe in the same shopping trip, she has also picked out something in a nice blue hue, or maybe she's a dyed-in-the-wool pinky, and even when shopping for daddy she selects something pink (or maybe she loves it because her favourite Power Ranger is Pink. Not that I have personal experience with such.... : p). But if this be your girl, are you going to deny your pink~enthusiast the colour that makes her heart just flutter? Deny it due just to some 'concern' with it?

Now, I'm not saying this if even what those parents are doing. More likely, they just purchase all the other colours while they're alone on shopping trips, but then must inevitably give into that pink when daughters are in-toe, resulting in a lovely combo-closet. But it's just when I read such anecdotes that seem to more-than-elude to conscious avoidance of pink, the thing that comes into my mind are how extremes can go the other way......is a "gotta' avoid pink" mindset really any better than a "pink, pink, pink!" one? Especially if you or a little girl you buy for actually enjoy pink. It's just where my mind goes. Gotta' be a balance, I think. My mental world is not inclined to be black and white, or shall I saw, red and pink. There are lovely grays, or roses if you will, and I suppose that's my point.

So, I hope this little 'Dairy~Thought' has encouraged you to Think~Pink!
(or at least *about* pink)! : )

Reality Exists where You See It

Some people may think TV is a waste of time, or it's foolish to look at it as any more than entertainment. And for some programs, that is true. But for others, there's something there that sort of extends reality. For some people, if they have a lot of challenge in their life and they view a program with intrinsic hope, it can inspire ongoing hope in them as well, it can provide what they need and inspire more. That's real.

If someone has experienced only a specific type of person in their life, but they see a different example on screen, that can make a difference, too. Sure, that 'character' is just that, but someone had to create that character, someone had to become that character and someone needed to be able to make that character out as a believable person. For all those reasons, I feel you can look at that character and say 'if they can exist in that way, they can exist' type of thing. That kind of person can be in the world somewhere. They're real.

The feelings that are imparted onto you from viewing certain programs are real. If they may inspire you to live your life in a different way, that is real and that's strong.

Of course there is thoughtless entertainment, but there is also very real programming and things that can be like a good book. If you read a lot, aside from those who think you're just shy and maybe a shut-in, I think a lot would think you're cultured and intellectual. There are book clubs, it's a valid activity. They discuss the books and all that and I don't think people think you're wasting your life leafing through pages. At least not in anyway as they may say you're wasting your life in front of the 'idiot box'. But as I say, certain programming can take you to a powerful place similar to how a book can. The two mediums are very different, although I believe they can share that similar vein.

Although this is a 'diary~thought', this is actually relative to my blog, as a lot of my current works have been inspired by two such worlds on screen that intertwine with my own to create something more. I hope through my relative, creative mediums, you can feel a touch of that fantastic inspiration that I am referring to when I say TV is only an idiot box if you watch it passively. If you feel what you're watching and engage with it, it's like ingredients to your inspiration. Trust me, I gain inspiration from multiple-facets within my life; books, nature, TV, etc...and I really do wonder how my creativity would've turned out up to now, if any one of those worlds didn't exist for me to interact with. : )

Many places within which to exist; Yes, this is still one such.

Sorry to keep anyone who has been visiting this blog hanging! I had started it up when I had a good time frame and such to create it/set it up, but life has been busy business...I also want a specific video to be the first I upload onto here and the creation of such is a most involved experience (in a positive way), and has hit some technical snags; so there is that, too.

In the meantime, if you're eager to see my kind of works, look me up at:

for fanart (also can be found at the above Invision site)

Select works from all the above mediums are what I plan on uploading here in the future, along with new works of that and other focuses which will be exclusive to this blog at time of upload.

So check back, because I've not forgotten about this place! : p
(and *may* in fact do some "Diary~Thoughts" posts -life thoughts/ramblings/observations, etc.- in the meantime, until I have my desired projects ready for blog publication).

Thanks for checking back/reading this update.

The Start of the Beginning!

First post on my production blog! I plan to add select videos and other works of mine (along with pictures & relative anecdotes, likely), but right now this is just my 'welcome' message. So, welcome to my blogosphere! I have arrived! : p
